I meant to post this pictures before leaving for Soak City yesterday, but blogger was acting up. I tried about 10 times before giving up, and I got home too late at night to post them then. I worked all day today, so I guess late's better than never. The first is just a dragon doodle. The second is a picture that started out as a idle sketch of a waterfall picture and turned into a 2 hour plus drawing focusing on value and texture.

WOW.
The waterfall sketch is beautiful.

A series dragon question for you, since clearly you have an affinity for dragons.

1. What is your favorite illustrative representation of a dragon?

2. What is your favorite cartoon dragon?

3. What is your favorite film dragon?

4. What is your favorite literary dragon?

Me? I loved how dragons were represented in the film Reign of Fire. I loved the Dragonriders of Pern books.

Oooo, the waterfall picture is very good. I love how we can start something that won't be much of anything, and have it turn into something grand.

Yey draggies!

I think the logical next step is to combine waterfalls and dragons. Keep pushing the medium, you're doing great.
